The market's interest in retro style, and consequently, our traditional copper color, has led our company to research new finishing coats to satisfy this new demand.

Today, using a new technique called PVD, we are now able to obtain a metal chrome coating on a carbon frame. It is not just a simple paint coat, but rather a procedure on the molecular level that forms an indestructible bond between the base material and the chrome. Moreover, the process is clean and does not produce and manufacturing wast product, thereby complying with CEE regulations.

Cento, which means 100 in Italian, is the new frame that Wilier Triestina has prepared to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The Cento frame is an ultralight monocoque carbon fiber frame developed with the most advanced technology. The frame is built using a patented technique that allows the precise control of varying tube wall thickness.

Several types of unidirectional carbon fibers (mainly T 60 and T 30) are used in order to achieve the optimal balance between light weight and stiffness where it counts most: the bottom bracket and head tube.
