|
Dave Reed started his athletic journey with the York Cross Country running program,
coached by Joe Newton. Joe taught Dave what it takes to become a winning athlete.
As a cyclist, in 2001/02, Richard Simons (world champion track racer) tortured Dave
in his Oak Park laboratory. Dave raced 70+ events and won Cat 3 ABR MATTS series,
ROTY, the State Road Race championship and upgraded to a Cat 2 at Downers Grove.
Since then, he’s been making his own plan and getting results including the 2009
Masters 30+ Illinois State Time Trial victory. Dave plans to pursue a Masters National
title next year.
